Using keyboard shortcuts is a quick way to perform actions. MacOS has its own set of shortcuts, and I’ve put together a list of iPad keyboard shortcuts. These work in Apple apps, although third. (With the shortcuts you see below, I’ve listed most with their Mac keyboard names and shortcuts. In most cases, these can be translated onto a Windows keyboard by substituting on a Mac for on a PC. When this isn’t the case, I tried to make a note of the shortcut on both.
The Beauty of Using Windows Shortcut Keys
If you aren’t already taking advantage of the many Windows shortcut keys available to you, here’s your chance to get started! Shortcut keys offer a quicker method of navigating or executing commands on your computer in lieu of using your mouse.
This tip will show you how to open programs from your taskbar, switch among programs, and view all the programs you already have open—all with shortcut keys.
NOTE: These shortcut keys also work in earlier versions of Windows, but may present slightly different results.

One useful shortcut key helps you quickly open the applications saved to your taskbar. Simply hold down the Windows key and select the number that corresponds to your desired application’s location on the taskbar (not including the Start button). In the example taskbar below, you would press Windows + 3 to open Outlook and Windows + 5 to open Excel.
Tab from One Program to Another
A popular Windows shortcut key is Alt + Tab, which allows you to switch between all of your open programs. While continuing to hold down the Alt key, choose the program you want to open by clicking Tab until the correct application is highlighted, then release both keys. To navigate your applications in the opposite direction (right to left), use Alt + Shift + Tab. Hold Alt and Shift at the same time while clicking Tab to move from one application to next.
View All Open Programs
A lesser known, but similar shortcut key is Windows + Tab. Using this shortcut key will display all of your open applications in a larger view. From this view, use your arrow keys to select the appropriate application. Once you’ve highlighted the correct window, you can open it by pressing Enter or close it by pressing Delete.

How To Open Task Manager Mac
Running Task Manager in Windows is easy. Simply use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Del, Ctrl + Shift + Escape, or right-click on the menu bar and select “Start Task Manager.”
Running Activity Monitor in Mac OS X works a little differently. You can open Activity Monitor by opening up Finder, going to Applications > Utilities and then select “Activity Monitor” application.

Simply press Command + Space key to launch Spotlight search field.
Type “Activity Monitor” in the search field and press “Enter” or “Return.”
Use Spotlight to open Activity Monitor: a Mac Task Manager
The Activity Monitor is a powerful Task Manager application as it’s not only displaying running applications under user-level but also shows running applications under system-level or kernel level and a few other processes.
If a program is running in your Mac computer, you can find it with Activity Monitor (Mac Task Manager or Task Manager Mac), never miss any tasks.
It allows you to sort processes by ID, name and memory usage. Also, you can search for a specific process that matches characters or names.
The Activity Monitor application can also use to force quit Mac apps when they are unresponsive. To doing so, select the application you want to force-to-close from the list in Activity Monitor and then click the (X) icon at the top-left corner and choose “Force Quit.” The selected application will be terminated immediately.
You can also use Force Quit Application to close any unresponsive apps by pressing the key combination: Command + Option + Esc to bring up Force Quit Application. Next, choose the application you want to close and click on “Force Quit.” Reddit mac apps free.
